PROJECT POSITIONING

The Global Excellent Scientists Fund of China 2023 aims to attract and encourage overseas scholars (including non-Chinese foreign talents) who have outstanding achievements in natural sciences, engineering technology, etc. to return to China (come to China) to pursue their career.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

01

For people born after January 1, 1961 and before January 1, 1983 , there must have PhD degree in Science or Engineering etc. and should be hold positions equivalent to associate professor or above in famous universities and scientific research institutions; or professional and technical talents who hold senior positions in international well-known enterprises.

For people born after January 1, 1983, there must have PhD degree in Science or Engineering etc. And after receiving the doctor's degree,applicants should have 36+ months experience in a scientific research position at a university or research institute abroad (not in China) before January 1, 2023. Applicants who with outstanding performance can apply for an exception from the 36-month requirement.

Applicants should resign from their job abroad and will be working full-time in China for at least 3 years if be selected in the talent plan.

04

Obtained scientific research or technical achievements recognized by peer experts, and demonstrated potential to become research leaders or outstanding talents in their field.
