| (2019) Text Mining of Jokes and Fables (on the Example of the University MEPhI) Источник: The Fifth Int. Gelological Congress "Laughter and communication", Saint Petersburg, May 29-June 1, 2019, Summaries, p. 57 University MEPhI celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2017. The author has accumulated a collection of jokes (~500) and tales (~150) associated with engineering and physical education and life of the MEPhI students and academic stuff/ The collection is, in fact, an array of unstructured texts. It seems interesting to use Text mining technology for: 1) structuring and extracting useful information (punch lines of anecdotes, facts, references to events and persons, plots etc.) and new knowledge from this array of texts; 2) the analysis od this dataset (various classification, clustering, searching and identification of relations between different elements, connections and associations between subjects and objects, etc.). Besides, to sharpen the sense of humor, we will try to detect discontinuities and anomalies in date. And, of course, to explain scientifically when it is ridiculous in the range of ±σ. |
